Last Saturday, the Port Authority Police Hispanic Society (PAPHS), along with the Inwood Little League, handed out hundreds of turkeys and hams in Washington Heights so that every family can enjoy fully the Thanksgiving holiday.  This first annual “Turkey Giveaway” included games and sports for the kids as a way for law enforcement to give back to the communities in which they work.  The funds for this event and other community outreach programs are raised by PAPHS through events such as PAPHS Cigar Night and the PAPHS Christmas Party. Members of the PAPHS include President Juan Cancel, Vice President Joe Arias, Treasurer Luis Herrera, Sergeant-At-Arms John Monagas, and trustees David Hunter and Juan A. DeJesus.
