The Port Authority Bus Terminal In 1950

Portfolio looks back to the holiday season in 1950 when the Port Authority Bus Terminal was brand new.  Commuters were awed by its art deco design with its semicircular facade set off with an impressive clock, gleaming stainless steel trim and mirrorlike floors of polished stone. Then like now, the terminal was a major link in the regional chain of transportation facilities.
